The Kentucky Army National Guard's 2/138th Field Artillery in the Vietnam War
During the Vietnam War, only two Army National Guard artillery battalions were mobilized and deployed during the entire conflict. This video documentary chronicles the experiences of one of those battalions, the Kentucky National Guard's 2nd Battalion, 138th Field Artillery, a.k.a. KENTUCKY THUNDER, consisting of multiple units from Louisville, Bardstown, Elizabethtown, and Carrolton, KY. 🇺🇸
The storyline was written by the award winning military historian SFC (R) John W. Trowbridge. The video was produced and directed by the national and international award winning producer and videographer CW4 (R) James Dewey Pope, Jr. 🏆
